My side airbag light comes on once in a while as i'm driving. it then goes away after a few seconds. it's happened at least three times now. anybody ever had this problem? should i bring the car in? thanks for any inputs.

 

I've had this proble. Just don't lean on the side of your seat. Also for the driver seat.

 

The side airbag light will come on if you have something in the seat. This could be a small bag such as a pocket book, lap top breif case ect. It also can blink on if a passenger moves around in the seat. If you place your hand on the seat at some points it may blink on. If it comes on for any other reasons take it back to the dealer.

the tl has a feature where if someone is leaning against the side airbag, or if the person sitting in the seat is too small like a child (there are sensors in the seat), then it is unsafe to have the airbags go off, so it turns them off

 

I've also had my light come on and off while driving especially in turns where the weight of my front seat "cargo" shifts.
