side air bag?

side air bag?

hey guys i have a little cousin in my passengfer seat at times and when he is in it , i get this light that comes on everytime he sits there. the side airbag off light.

is this normal? or should i have it checked out?

Its quite normal if you have a child or small adult in the front passenger seat to have the light blink on.

My house gets hot when i leave the door open - anyone know why.

We used to have an acronym for posts like this: RTM!

Depending how LITTLE your cousin is, they should not be in the front seat with the airbag, as it can kill them.

I have only recently let my 12 year old sit there, but my 10 year old is not allowed.

On a serious note, the side airbag is designed to cut off based on the weight of the passenger. My light always comes on when I put my work bag on the seat (thank god my laptop will be safe!!)

put the little one in the back and strap em' down .... why would you let em' ride in the front anyway is beyond me
