Shouldn't Acura install oil jet kit for every TL?

I just called dealer and made an appointment for oil jet kit but then they called me back and said it's not avaliable for me. (i have 03 tl-s) and this guy told me that not every TL needs to have that done. that sounded weird...is that really true?? Anyways I am going to the dealer for my stereo so i will talk to them again and find out.
For how many Kms do I need to change brake fluid, powerstearing fluid and some other kinds of fluids?? I am at 57000km now... any suggestions??
thanks

I don't think they are doing the recall in Canada.

I had the oil jet kit installed on my car. I would recomend you call another dealer and ask them about the kit. I have an 03 and they put mine in without any problems.

The oil-jet kit recall is also done in Canada. Dnam85's '03 car may not be needed because only up to a certain VIN of '03 cars are affected.

The oil jet kit doesn't really do anything anyways. I had an 03' TL-P, and had the kit installed. The tranny still went belly up on me. (Strangely, the tranny let go, just a month or two after the jet kit was installed)...

I didn't want to experience that again when the warranty ran out, (and I wanted to get the Navi, and was kicking myself for not getting a Type-S), so I traded up to an 05' TL... Hopefully I don't experience any more tranny issues

You're absolutely correct. According to Honda, the oil jet kit will prevent the 2nd gear from coming apart. When that happens, the whole transmission will seize up and die. This is completely different from the 3rd gear clutch failure that causes almost all of the tranny failures. When the 3rd gear clutch pack fails, the tranny will slip in 3rd but the other gears will still work in most cases. If your 3rd gear clutch pack is doomed to fail, it's just a matter of time before it happens, with or without the oil jet kit installed.
