Should I or Should I not? (Paint job)

This guy gave me an estimate for fixing my dents and painting my whole car. The paint is Metallic blue and it is a Stage 1 paint. He quoted me $814.00 Should I do it or Should I not?

thats a good price for a first stage paint job, although this isn't an installation its more of an art so sometimes paying the extra money benefits you. also, ive seen some pretty bad paint jobs so id consider getting a second stage paint job atleast.

The third stage paint job is $1700.00 and I saw a sample. It was a metallic blue mustang saleen I think? It was so glossy. I wonder how the stage 1 metallic blue would look? What do you guys think? The reason why I don't want to go for stage 3 is because I have a low budget. I still need to buy new rims, tein springs along with the camber kit.

also...to add...glossy is always better. if they are also an autobody shop, im sure if u bought all the parts u wanted...the rims, springs, camber kit, im sure if u did it all at once u could get some sort of discount on the installation....unless ur planning to install urself...

but i still would recommend atleast a second stage paint job, thats one of the big things about your car, ive seen first stage paint jobs that chip and the paint looks plain etc. if ur on a budget then 3rd stage is out of the question but the 2nd stage using the glossy coat to it will really protect ur car and make it shine.

Second stage is around 1100 I think? Well worth it or what? I think your right so I might just save my money for second stage.

for the extra 300ish i think it would be worth it, in the long run, depending on how long you keep your car, and i would also advise to get some feedback from customers that use this shop.

and another tip saver....ask them if they can "save" you the tax if your willing to pay in cash.

I'm taking a wild guess at the stages here but stage is how much they prep the carbefore repainting --stage 1 sand, spray and cleaar coat
stage 2 dissasemble,sand,prep,spray,clearcoat
stage 3 dissasemble,sand, prep-dents,dings,bondo ,ect,primer,spray clearcoat.

wild guessss no fire on my a$$ please ,correct me if i maybe wrong.

paint is clasified in stages. Single stage is enamel/laquer finishes, 2 stage is base clear, then alot of newer paints are Tri Coat and even,4 stage, (meaning it takes acouple colors and layers to achieve the finished color

DONT GET STAGE 1....its the cheapest most basic paint job.....my old 240 had a stage 1 paint job and it didnt even look that nice on a 15 year old car!!! TLs are nice cars man you dont want a bad paint job. even 1100 sounds kind of cheap. a good paint job with OEM specs will cost at least 2-3 gs
