Should I Pimp My Ride?
Was going to keep it stock as I've always preferred that look, but I've seen so many hot lookings mods on here that I'm tempted to join the fray. I've never seen another car that takes mods as well as the TL and looks so appropriate. Am I too old to pimp my ride?
Lol, i think you should at least get a OEM body kit, i think every TL needs one, i see it as a difference between night and day..
and maybe a drop and your good to go.... looks clean and not over doing it. good luck.

Posts like these make me mad.... I understand "to each his own" blah blah blah....but seriously, who likes a stock car over a modded car... hahaha. Like, "o, i dont like a CAI, i would rather have a stock looking air box thats ugly and takes up more space and suffocates my motor" or "o, i dont like 18 or 19 inch rims, id rather keep my stock small 17 inch rims that every other tl has on the street" or "o, id rather have a boring 6 disc cd changer than a tv with mp3 player and 10 disc dvd changer, the stock one is better" hahaha.
anyway, keep your tl stock, you make ours look better

99% of the population is perfectly fine with driving their average cars like the Taurus, Malibu, etc. Having an Acura TL is exciting in itself.
Modifying a car is not something everyone does , likes or can afford to.
Having said that, if you can afford it, then definitely go for it, man.
Start with the OEM body kit, lower it, grab some wheels and tires. It'll look like a totally different car. And if you feel daring, get some performance parts, too.
Can anyone tell me if the OEM body kit is functional in addition to it's aesthetic value (i.e. less drag)? Infiniti is advertising that the G35 with the aero package has a lower coefficient of drag than the standard version. I don't know that much about cars, so hopefully this isn't a silly question.

are you going only for the look, perfomance, or cool mods like a premium stereo and stuff?
be preprared though!!! once you start modding, there is not way of stopping
lol, trust me on that. a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$
peace.
PS too old? i know 70 yr old granny, driving a hooked up mustang, and she drives it hard.

Would kind of like the mods to be functional aside from their merely cosmetic value. Guess the OEM body kit has it's disadvantages as far as wind noise, etc. That kind of bums me out as I don't really want to hear a rush of air that I don't hear now. Any ideas of how I can make my car the most pimptastic machine around?

I think you take the show & what they do there a bit too seriously.
it's so much fun to watch those skilled homies pimp out those beyond-belief shitboxes ;
