should i go black?
as some of you already know, my paint job is below par. i been looking at some choices for paint jobs and future mods and im seriously going for an all black on black look, but my interior is tan and my current paint job is NBP. im afraid that if i go black i will lose the appeal that this nice green has, ive only seen 1 other ngp tl in my area and never again. what should i do guys? should i got black on black? or should i get it re painted nbp and go black on green? oh yea, and im open for other color combos that might look nice. thanks

Do it man, I think black looks the cleanest. As long as you keep it washed and waxed of course. Otherwise a dirty black car looks like shit. I guess I'm just stating the obviouse. Whites clean too.

Black on tan or parchment is very common. my next car is going to be some sort of white..
oh and i was thinking my tl needs a tad of body work and i will be repainting if i do so i dont know if i want to go with NBP or a solid toner black......
If you going to go Black consider going Pure black when you get it all polished and waxed you can look in to your paint and get sucked in...

Black cars can be a royal pain to keep clean. If you have the time and energy to keep them clean, black cars can look awesome. But nothing shows dirt like a shiny black paint job. And you have to be careful to avoid swirl marks.
I've known several people that have owned black cars that have said never again.

My wife used to have black car, and it's a pain to clean.
But when it's clean looks realy nice.
And dark color it's easier to see imperfections

I have had 3 black cars, 2 of which I painted black. (i custom painted my daily driver truck the same color as my show car was painted at the time) Actually the color was Dupont Black w/multicolor Pearl. If you dont get a flake or a pearl mixed with the paint, it will show EVERY imperfection. With a pearl or flake, it tends to hide them better.

Wife has a black TSX ... she likes the look of black cars ... but now realizes how awful it is in the winter (salt covered) and in the summer (hot as hell). She really likes the look (after I wash and Zaino it) but doesn't like the maintenance of that look. LOL.
Be warned ... a lot of work for it to look good.

Oh Hullow
just go black... if u love black u will regret any other color... i love my abp to death but i still long for a black car haha... my first car was white (kinda went the other way on that one) i've yet to own a black car but i swear my next one will be... so long story short if u love black do it because u r just going to stare at your car wishing it was black haha.

i have a nbp and let me tell you, it's a pain in the ass to keep it in decent condition. every little flaw shows, dust dulls it and protrudes like a sore thumb. but if you do have the time to wash and wax it tho, omg it will make you wet in the pants
my paint job is sucking too and im really thinkin about toe blue that TL comes with. really eye catching, nice deep gloss and not so high maintenance. if only findin girls were that easy
