Can anyone give me instructions on how to take off and put on a shiftknob?

It may be very tight at first but you can wrap it with an old rag and duct tape that has been made weaker by sticking it on and off a linty shirt. Then you can use a large adjustable wrench to trun it without damaging the old shift knob.
