Shift knob & boot

Shift knob & boot
My shift plate is marred and I was going to paint it or chrome it, but thought of getting a shift boot to cover it or replace the hole if I take the plate out. I'm looking at the Momo Elegance Black

Opinions as to whether this would work/fit? Or other alternatives/parts.
Also, I'm looking at the Momo Combat Evo shift knob. There are no threads, just bushings to hold it tight and a set screw.

So basically, will both parts fit? Thanks for your help.

There's a member who put a shifter boot on his TL a while ago. I thought it was pretty cool, he did a nice job and it made the car look like it had a 6 spd, but a lot of members didn't care for it and they gave him s#!t for it. It's nice because you still have the gear range display in the dash to go by. I don't know which boot he used, for some reason I'm thinking it came off a Civic but I could be wrong.
Do a search and you should find the thread where it was done. Good luck.
