Shift Knob

This is prob a dumb question to most of you... I am thinking of getting a new shift knob and do the shift plate mod (with paint remover and all) to my '99 TL. All that should be easy to do, but how do I remove the OEM shift knob? There is no screw, I tried to twist it but it won't budge one bit.

should be counter-clock wise

Absolutely. Twist it counter-clockwise to loosen.

Thanks for all the help guys!! I just did the shifter plate mod with some spray paint stripper, worked like a charm. And it looks nice with the new Razo shifter I just bought. Shifting is now even more enjoyable. Thanks again guys!!
