Seat Poping noise

Last few days after getting into my car everytime I sit back, the back of the seat makes a poping noise and kind of seems like it moves in a little. Undid the lumbar and it doesnt seem to do it. I'm not a big guy so it not like it should be wore in or broken. Anyone experince this problem.

yup.. same thing is happening to me everytime.... I believe it's the heating component in there. Plus I think my seat is a lot looser than the passenger's side. I am gonna bring my car in for some repair.

hahahaha that just happened to me like 3 days ago. I turn on my heated seat this morning on my driver's side, and the f*cking seat back heater is totally dead. My a$$ gets really hot, but nothing on my back. Could this be another one of Acura's "known" problems???

I have been using the heated seats a lot lately -- that might be it.

Yup, I have been using mine about 80% more then I used to use it, because the whether has all of the sudden changed here in Toronto. Anyhow, my heated seat was working fine until I heard this popping noise...oh well I guess I'll bring up the problem next time I get the car serviced.

Just tought i'll give an update to my seat problem -- went to the dealer today and got my car looked at. My seat needs a new "heating pad"(thats what the service guy calles it) . Good thing my cars stilll under warrenty. Parts on order should be fixed in a week or so.

Also asked to look at my rotors as i've read about the problem everyone is having. Don't think mine are that bad, I just a little get vibration when appling the brakes and it sounds like i need new pads soon. So though maybe get some free pads or something by briging up the topic. -- He won't even look at them saying my car has too many miles(38000). Question is has anyone had their rotors cut under warrenty with this high of miles.

Damn seat heaters. I am glad that ou are still under warranty because I was quoted 350.00 for the job to replace both the driver and the passenger seat pads. Seems like a lot of money for something that is only used for a couple of months a year. I really do miss them though in these colder mornings :-(

As far as I know, things like rotors and brake pads are not covered under warranty, only the mechanical components like calipers and the master cylinder brake lines etc.

If its any consolation, I have 38,000 miles on my 2003 TL, I am the original owner, my brakes were rated "excellent" by the service tech at my 37,500 mile service. I think it partly has to do with driving style though.

To resurface rotors is not a complicated job by itself, Some autoparts stores will do it. Its mostly labor.
