Seat bent to sh*t!

Ok a few months after I bought my TL-S I noticed that my seat is crooked. A few months after that I noticed that my side airbag was bulging out a bit in the bolster bad, and then my seat started really looking deformed. So today i took it, and undid the leather cover and had myself a looksee.

And my seat frame i MADD crooked. Also kinda rusty (is that normal?). So i put the crap back together and stuffed back into the car. Now im on the hunt for a seat. Ideally i want to find a seat with messed up leather for real cheap so I can just put my skin on it and save some look for a 6mt. Anyone else have crooked seat issues. Im 6'4 and 230lbs so it could be me that did it, but that frame is really strong I cant see how I did it.

Tell me about it, i mean the car is salvage title, so obviously this something they covered up. Well i found some junkyard deals maybe ill get them to knock some of the price off if i give them my airbag unit and other hardware that works.

It really does help if you disclose the salvage title when seeking help.
Someone took parts of various TLs and made one car from them.
Acura can tell you where the car used to live- if that helps determine other failures, saltwater- etc- things to look for-

wouldnt plan on the airbags working or even being in the pockets for them-
some salvage cars have been found with steering wheel airbags filled with....
newspaper and dirty sneakers.
Any you wondered why it had that musty smell, eh!

Well with ours i believe the air bag is part of the cover so it would be hard to take the bag out and have just the cover.

I was referring to cars that were ~repaired~ after an accident with bag deployment- rather than replace the bag and sensors and whatevers- they would essentially fill the space with crap and glue the cover on. Some water damaged cars may have suffered the same fate.
Just something I saw on TV

Makes me wonder what is in that side airbag poscket of this particular vehicle
Didja get that seat hole filled up yet? yep- I think ma's apron maight be too big -
itsa abulgin out the sides....

I am sure the crooked seat is simply due to a violent collision that ended up totaling the vehicle. Somebody made some money by getting a sweet deal on a totaled car, fixed it and sold it. SALVAGE. Hopefully you are just imagining the weird airbag.

Water is bad. How rusty is it? Major rust for real or just rust colored ? Don't personally have experience with checking out seat frames, but someone may.

The rust isnt excessive just a little forming here and there. I knew what I was getting into with a salvage car, but the price was right, so what can I say? Now to find a good frame from a seat with bad leather for cheeaaaappp.

i bought my car from a dealer auction, it was t-boned on the drivers side and once it was complete u cant tell the difference if it was in a wreck or not. the only thing that gives it away is the rebuilt title and a safety inspection sticker on the door jam.

Yeah it is risky but I bought the car off someone I knew why basically payed for 1/2 of the fixes i did to the car so far (mounts, tranny leak, ballast, etc...) so its come out cheap. They did a good job on the repair.

Well Acura/Honda's have a tendency of having a coat of "rust" on their inner metal parts. Just like when your puttin in a headunit on the TL's you'll notice theres a thin layer of rust spots on the metal around it.

We're just preparing you for the worst just in case that the worst problem has yet to be discovered on a car with an unknown history. If nothing happens, that'll be good.
