very rare combo. I tried to find it once my blk on blk TLP w/ navi was sold but no luck. So I got another blk on blk, a Type S w/ navi this time tho

most wdp came with tan interior. i've only seen 1 or 2 others with black leather.

It was.

I just happened to stop by the dealer to see if the 02 TLS had come in and they were still unloading the transporter and there was a WDP with Ebony interior already sitting on the lot.

Short story is that I bought an 01 TL because the dealer told me back in November of 2000 that there wouldn't be any major changes (performance primarily) so I bought it. Soon after I started seeing ads for the TLS. A bit miffed I went back to the dealer and they said they didn't think the TLS was going to happen. Needless to say it did and I went bacl regularly letting know they needed to do me right. Anyway, I park my 01 and the guy comes walking out with the keys to a WDP w/ebony interior, took it for a test drive and drive it home that day.

I still love it . . . the tranny and motor mounts are my 2 biggest complaints.

reminds me i need to fix the bottom of my front bumper. think the clips came out and its sagging a bit. did you sand your headlights at all by any chance? or they just really really clean lol
