Seafoaming with ATLP's... not much though

I finally got around to seafoaming my TL this past weekend. I put about 10oz through the vacuum port and 6 in the gas tank. While I was putting in the seafoam through the vac line, there was more smoke than when I finished the can into the gas tank and turned on the car 15 minutes later.

Josh wanted to see the seafoam with ATLP's so here's a video... not a lot of smoke though hahaha... fail.

Aren't you supposed to let the car sit for half an hour or so before running it after seafoam?

no- please read the diy -read the first few and last few pages-
the first page directions dont use enough seafoam, and until post 147- the vac port is wrong- then its all corrected with new pics and arrows-- ready to use

use 1 can in 1/2 tank of gas, thats 2 oz seafoam per gallon fuel
use 1 can or what it will take of a 16 oz can in the manifold vac port
Spray clean the TB plate!!
Let sit 10 minutes while you put the engine cover back on- wash up and get ready to drive

There is a warmup drive - the short ~percolate~ time,
and the after drive to blow out the crud,,that is critical to the overall result

Keeping the engine and CAT very warm is important- the cleaning is nearly instant for the big stuff inside the engine- then you have to go blow it out the exhaust with 4000 rpm run

1st timers repeat gas and vac in about 1500 miles/ a month.
then ready for 1yr/15k miles
Works good in oil right before a change too

yeah I didn't get that much noticeable smoke out of my tail pipes either and when I had it hooked up to the smog machine at school It ran nearly perfect.

smoke is largely a byproduct of the oils in seafoam reacting to the Heat in the CAT in the exhaust
You often get some smoke while adding to intake, if you are taking the right amount of time and material- following DIY, and more smoke will appear on the blow out drive-
If you let it sit 30 minutes dont expect much smoke- it got cold

Yes it will run rough- thats ok- keep adding slowly in bits until it wont run anymore- then your good to let it sit 10 minutes

Start engine- let stabilize at idle- then when able to rev to 2000 cleanly,
drive in 1st-2nd gear at 2000 rpm until engine sounds clear-
then 4000 rpm for 10 minutes with some blast runs into vtec and back down -
6000rpm max- not full redline with all that stuff swirling around!!

following the DIY here- and ignoring anything on youtube will be to your advantage
