Scratches in the muffler tip

Hello Folks,

I ran over the shoulder in DT yesterday and it seems I scratched the bottom part of the muffler tip the chrome part slightly.

Can this 12 inches part be purchased separately and replaced ??

Please advise.
Thanks

12" part Are you sure you're referring to the exhaust tip because the exhaust tip is not that long. If you are referring to the exhaust tip, that can easily be replaced by unscrewing the single bolt that fastens it to the tailpipe. In some cases the bolt is rusted so it may take some work to get it off.

Are you talking about the stock exhaust tips on the TL? If so, I'm a gazillion people on this forum will gladly sell you their tips that they replaced with aftermarket exhausts or the 3A tips.

Or you can just get the 3A tips from any autoparts store which looks infinitely better.

Yeah I am referring to the chrome tips that are fastened by a single screw - as one of them has some sratches and I wanted to find out if they are available and can be replaced.

I completely destroyed mine on a steep driveway. I went ahead and got OEM ones from a dealer.

I can't remember if it was $70 for the set, or $70 for a single tip. Either way you can buy them individually.

Yes the exhaust finishers (tips) can be purchased at the dealership. As someone mentioned before, they are @ 70 - 80 bucks for the pair. The 3A tips might look a little odd if you don't have the rear bodykit piece
