Scratch on Navi Screen
Scratch on Navi Screen
I have a scratch on my navi screen. Is there anyway to get rid of it. Can you turn the screen around. I tried opening it up. I thought once I took the 4 bolts off I would be able to open it up and it was so easy and I couldnt open it. Let me know what I should do..
I have a scratch as well, and some time ago on this board someone advised using Armor-all protectant. I apply it to the screen about once a month and it does a nice job of hiding the scratch. Eventually it wears off from your finger touching the screen, but the inconvenience of re-application sure beats having to buy a new screen.

I couldn't say "when" it was posted, but a while back someone posted that our navi screens could not be replaced without changing out the entire unit. That put the skids on any dream I had of replacing mine, too.
If that's changed please let us know...

Does anyone know of any local stores that I have pick up some Plexus. I've been to AutoZone and R&S wih no luck.. I've seen it on the internet but I wanted to buy them from a local store so I would have it quicker...
Damn, this is an old ass thread! Anyway, I was told by my local Acura dealership that they can send in the whole navigation unit to Alpine to be serviced for anything except water damage for $200. He told me they would take out the unit for $100, and put my dash back together, another $100 to take it apart and put the unit back in. Better than buying the whole unit! Hope this helps for those of you that still have your TL's
