WOW from the front my car (thunderbird)
got 5 stars for both psgr and driver -- but side impact
only 3 stars for me and 1 for passenger

see below for crash test info on the 2001 TL ...cannot find 1999 TL crash test results...I assume that none were done...note the that 1999 TL's do not have side air bags but I don't think that the results would be any different...basing my info on 2001 Accord front side impact tests with and without airbag the results remain the same...so the real question is...are side air bags for cosmetic purposes only?
