i believe the s2000 uses a projector lense for its HID system while we use the standard reflectors. i noticed the s2000 at different angles has a bright purplish/blue hue much like some bmw's.

i could be wrong and i'm not sure about the bulb itself along with the ballasts...just my observation

it is the same degree kelvin which is 4200Kelvin...What makes the s2000 bling is the projector type HID housing it uses...Also it uses a D2S bulb which doesnt hide parasitic salts like the D2R bulbs do...My HID is brighter though, and 6000Kelvin is the way to go...I get compliments all the time because its so apparent that mine is brighter than most drivers out there:wow:...Shyne

Thanks guys, wow (shyne)those 6000k bulbs are bright!!Are those just the bulbs or both 6000k bulbs and ballasters? My last car was an s2000.The car was in the rear and part of the passenger side.I went to honda to get another s2k hid bulb(I only have one bulb and ballaster of my old s2k.)And they were the same bulb as our t.l's.So I don't think it'll be worth it.I rather much go with the 6000k kit.BTW does anyone know where I could get a kit? Thanks guys

Thats lame. When you get that high in color temperature it just ends up blue/purple.

8000K and 10,000K bulbs are meaningless. Those color temps are in the ultraviolet range!

Guys, where can I get these kinds of bulbs from??Are the ones on e-bay worth it?I see they have 6000k,7000k,and 8k ones. But I'm kindy fishy about them, each of our bulbs cost $160 and some change on this site. Those HID kits complete with ballasters cost $499.So are these even HID bulbs? And the ballasters look so small.
