Angry Rust already?

Do any of you noticed rust starting to develop along the bottom edge of the rear window (the glass with defrosting coils)? This is the edge where the plastic molding meets the glass. I applied a little pressure to slightly push the molding down and discovered a very noticeable line of rust! I suggest you guys check it out. I was applying Zaino to my baby this past weekend and noticed this. I was shocked to find rust on such a new car. Is this normal? Should I bring it back to the dealer to have them check out? I don't remember seeing anything like that in my previous cars.

You live in Chicago + Acura paint sucks = RUST...

I am very sorry to hear that, but I believe you have a good chance dealer will take care of it.

Not yet retiree. The edge I'm talking about is right under the brake light. The edge where the plastic trim meets the glass. Would the dealer consider this normal wear and tear? I can't believe so, since I've never seen anything like that from my previous cars.

I would take it back if I were you and have this checked. Would be nice if you could take a picture and show us how it looks like so we could also check our cars.

That's why I was confused too Mr Hyde. I mean, at that area, there's really no metal to be found (just glass and plastic). So, I'm concerned that the rusting could be worse than it seems since it might've already migrated from somewhere further below. Gotta remember to take some pictures and show you guys after work tonight.

Here's a few pictures of how the rust looks like. Anybody else have this problem? I'm planning on telling the dealer next time I go in for an oil change.

So it looks like none of you out there has this problem. Well, as long as my tranny is holding up, this problem should be easy to fix.
