Post rubber on 19s? $$$! ouch! :(

I'm looking at rubber for (soon-to-be!) my 19" rims. Heres my math:

Stock:<table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=10><tr><td bgcolor="#ffffff"><FONT SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana, Arial">16in = 406.4
sidewall height = 123
total height = 652.4
width/ratio = 205/60
</font></td></tr></table>

With 19s:<table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=10><tr><td bgcolor="#ffffff"><FONT SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana, Arial">19in = 482.6
sidewall height = 84.9
<table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0><tr><td rowspan=3 valign="top"><FONT SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana, Arial">width/ratio needed =&nbsp;</font></td><td><FONT SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana, Arial">235/36</font></td></tr><tr><td><FONT SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana, Arial">225/37</font></td></tr><tr><td><FONT SIZE="2" FACE="Verdana, Arial">215/39</font></td></tr></table></font></td></tr></table>

All I could find were these, 225/35ZR-19 Nitto 555s for $219. Ouch!

For those running 19s, what kind of rubber do you have on there? How much did it set you back?

EDIT: What does "Treadwear: 300" mean on that link above?

I run 235/35/19, Pirelli P7000... they hug nice... just watch the potholes. Too bad they don't have a 225/40, the 40 series would be a lot better.

Wow, your rims are 19x8.5... does that rub? Can you post pics of the 19" Dazz Matiz? I've always wanted to see them in 19s on a TL.

Mind if I ask how much the Pirelli's set you back?

The rims are 19x8. What's good about that is that the tire hangs a bit over the lip of the rim, that way you have a less likelyhood of curbing your rim. You will hit your tire first. I think I paid near 250 each. Those dayam things are not cheap!!! haaha
I'll try to get pics up... I know a few people had pic from the Bay area Tl/Cl meet, maybe they will post... I need to buy a camera!!!!

Sup Nate,
Nitto 555's 225/35/19 - $235/each
the treadwear (300) means how long the tires will last. 300 is pretty good for a Z rated tire. My nitto Drags are 100 treadwear, ouch
I used to run 19x8(+43) 235/35/19 and they used to rub when carring people(With rolled fenders)that why I switch to my RH 19x7.5 with 225/35/19.
Yea baby, come and join the 19"z CLUB

Im running Nittos 555 and I recall paying like 200 a piece at Discount Tires. But I was just at Discount and they now charge $25 a wheel just to mount any tire over 18's. That charge is on top of everything too. What a rip!!

Tann, I like that the 19 club ...sounds like were hawking young girls though !!hahaha
Nate, I sugguest 225 also, I don't have problems with it rubbing b/c I shaved the lip. I think Tann had some even with a rolled fender. 225 is the safe bet.
