Anyone test drive a RSX...thinking about trading in my TL for one. What do you think.

 

i was thinking about doing that too but it is sooo not worth it. the TL is so much more badazz. maybe when the type R comes to the US i will...
BTW, what year is ur TL?

 

Why would you trade in your TL for a car that is below the value of your current car? The TL offers so much more in luxury and power.

The RSX type S will blow the pants off of my type- P TL. i guess I should explain myself... I have a 2002 TL with around 30000 miles on it. (I know its alot) But what can I do I drive 45 miles to work one way. Anyway...my transmission conked out last week and these bastards are giving me a hard time with getting a new one. I eventually got them to give me an extended warranty on the transmission. I am thinking to myself...I have 30000 miles on my car...I have a rebuilt transmission...my warranty will be up next year (at the rate I am going)...and if I eventually want to sell it I am not going to get any money for it. So I am contemplating on trading it in for a different car. The rsx is one of them. I wanted opinions. Another one I was looking at is the Eclipse GTS Spyder. ..The Lexus IS 300 and the Altima 3.5 SE. I dont like the G35 it looks like a horses ass so I am not even up for suggestions on that hunk of crap...and I dont like the WRX ...another hunk o junk. So theres my story.

 

i like the lex and the altima ....the altima se with the same options as the tl will run you close to what a tls would cost but i heard that car with the manual tranny is quick ,,,,but not too luxurious on the interior.

 

a friend of mine at my accessory shop has an 02 RSX-s. ive driven it several times and its a blast to drive around town, really fun, but i dont know if i would want to go at least 90 miles a day in it. The TL-s, RSX-s, and the altima 3.5 se with the manual all do 0-60 in 6.2 and a quarter in14.7-14.8 according to "Car and Driver", not sure about the eclipse, and the IS300 is a little slower maybe like 6.7-6.8 0-60.
With that 90+ mile a day drive, and the cars you listed, i think id go with the IS300. You could always fork up some extra dough and go with a BMW 330. There is also a six speed available in the Maxima SE and its much nicer inside for relativly little more money than the Altima. Now there is a CL with a 6-speed and the v6 Lincoln LS has an available 5-speed manual so does the Volvo s60 T5. I wouldnt get the volvo or the Lincoln but, options. The Cadillac CTS has a manual and the new Saab 9-3 looks sweet and has a 6-speed manual but they arent available until october, or still yet an Audi A4.

 

Check out the new Nissan 350Z before making your final decision....
