This has happened to me several times today. It has happened before but not often.
When I was driving this afternoon and I come up to a stop light, I feel the car hesitates and the rpm goes down a little bit and back up then repeats about 2-3 times in a row before it idles fine.
Then when I go to another stop light it does it again. RPM goes up/down, up/down & up/down.
What does this mean? I haven't gotten around to doing a Seafoam or replaced the spark plugs yet.

 

clean the idle air control valve in the throttle body.

 

Does anyone have a picture of where this is located and what it looks like? I can clean it but just need to know which one it is on the TB.

 

There are pics in the DIY thread. Its the only sensor bolted to the bottom of the TB.

 

Thanks. I will clean it this weekend. Do I need to replace anything when I take the IACV off and put it back on? No gaskets or anything?

 

I cleaned mine and didn't solve problem...
