Question Rotors starting to warp?

Lately when I brake at high speeds my steering wheel vibrates a little... but not always. So I am not sure if its because my rotors are starting to show some signs of "I am going to fcuk you up soon" or is it shaking because of the surface or whatever X reason. BTW, I bought my TL-S in January of 2003, and was supposedly manufactured in Dec. 2002. I currently have around 17800 miles on the car, and the last time I serviced my car they said I still had like 40% or something on my brakes. So what's the deal?
