Roof Spoiler

I wanna put a roof spoiler on my whip. (2000). I went to my shop were i bought some upgrades for my car and asked them to look up and see if the tl in my year has a roof spoiler. Tey looked it up and the basterd told me 310.00. Plus it has to be installed and painted. So he said another 150.00 for paint and install. Before i spend 450 on the roof spoiler can anybody tell me and show me some pictures and some installs they did or had done for a roof spoiler. It makes the car look slick. The mugen eyelids also match t and i have them. So please let me no about the roof spoiler. Thanx guys

I seen it on other sites , ill try to find it for ya.

Oh and by the way , most places call them "roof wings" instead of roof spoilers. That might be why you have a hard time finding it.

thanx beeza, do you think the roof wing will tend to rattle on a stero system. I put a aftermarket wing on the trunk and that rattles a lil too much. I was told to do some things to it but do you think the roof wing would rattle if secured on right by a shop.

I had a roof spoiler on my Acura Legend and with the system it was rattling pretty bad. I took it to a stereo shop and they cut out a line of dynamat for me and stuck it to the bottom of the roof wing and the spoiler . Make sure they do it so that you cant see any of the dynamat when its under there. It fixed the problem perfectly.

no they will not rattle, and yes they are disgustingly overpriced...I'd love one too...im thinking to get the measurments of the wing and see if I can make it or find similar dimensions in other wings that are available for others cars.

i have considered getting another m5 spoiler off ebay and modifying it to work as a roof spoiler. i think it would look good and be subtle. also its $40 compared to $350

thats a good idea i guess but i wouldnt do it like that. I decided to hold off on the roof spoiler for now until something comes thro wit the m5 lip you guys are talking about. My dad works for bmw (manager of autobody) so any mods i need he brings them to the shop for me. I'm goin to let him know bout this idea and see if he can do osmething like it.

i had it on my 03 cl-s it is installed with 3m doubled sided tape and black silicone trust me it will not rattle with a system. I got mine for free from the company it is not worth $310. If you really want it just buy it unpainted, have a body shop paint it for you and install it yourself

The sarona spoiler was developed using this CL-S. Way too expensive too. Unless you've already got all the mods in the book, your money is spent better elsewhere.

WOW!! Thanks for an awesome find! I have been debating getting the Sarona one put I couldn't bring myself to pay over $300. But $156 is definately doable. HALF PRICE I will give them a call in the am and see whats up. The telephone # is in my area so maybe I can stop by and check the place out. My brother owns a mechanic shop so I'll have them wholesale it to him. I'll post back when I have more info.

BTW- that red cl is a great looking car.

Update-
I just got off the phone with the secretary at buyspoilers.com. I have to fax her my brother's resellers info and some other paperwork on Monday and then I can pick up a roof spoiler for $156 no tax/no s/h.
