Roof Overlays

So I was looking through the vinyl overlays BlueBatMobile offered in the GB and various different threads and was wondering, why not on the 2g TL/CL? So I gauged the interest on the CL side and realized that the vinyl overlays might not flow very well with the CL, but I happen to think it might look good on the 2g TL!

So I emailed him and he agreed to try it out on a 2g tester car first, and if there was enough interest, a small batch!

He wants a tester car around San Diego, CA.
If you're interested, email him and tell him whats up.

rockstar- has an over lay aready.

imo, they dont look good on a tl. on a benz and tc, they look good since its a smaller car and has a smaller roof.

i think it only looks good on cars when the roof panel is as wide as the top of the rear window and it looks like it is one big piece. the 2GTLs roof panel is more narrow than our rear window so it just wont line up right which i think makes it look horrible

some dont like it.. some do.. meh... but then again im going with a red/black theme eventually so it works out perfectly for me...
im gonna try and redo it with a higher gloss before the beach meet

i think it flows alot better then that nasty ass chrome shit everyone drives around with on their door trim and handles i got rid of that shortly after these pics

also i suggest doing the roof trim along with it, thats one thing i will correct when redoing it..

good thing about these is if you dont like them.. they are removable. so no worries.. never hurts to try

50% is the darkest i'll go on mine.. and even then there would still be a contrast between the two..

idk, i've gotten used to it and will probably end up getting it painted for good..

Well either way guys, a tester car is needed! So if you ever want to eventually pick one of these up when you do your hood/trunk he's gonna need a tester first!

Brianlin on the CL side has already contacted him. If one of you guys is down just contact BlueBat through the email provided up there somewhere in one of my posts lol ^

looks better

but unless its real carbon fiber, it looks ricer-ish

and even then, carbon fiber hood and trunk on my TL would just make it a lighter tank lol

i like my FPR paint too much so i dont think i'll ever jump to the other body parts
