Exclamation Rolling Fender Well...

Hey guys, Ive recently experienced scrubbing of my tires on the side of the fender well... My question is, how do I "roll" them back as a lot of people do? What does it look like when you do it? I cant believe my 17's are scrubbin' ... I need to know what are my options here... I dont understand, my tires are the closest to factory as you can get, but the definately look bigger ... Somebody help!!!

S.HOlla ...

Question

Is that front or back? The fronts have plastic inside. Look at the rear fenders and feel up under the top edge. That flange is what they bend back - but it is stiff as hell and a bad idea, IMO. What size rim and tire you got dude, and offset too?

You can just bang that little lip inside the fender in yourself, but be careful you don't want to cause any damage. You can also take it to a bodyshop place and have them do it for you.

It is the rear tires... The only part that scrubs is the outer side of the tire against the outer part of the fender, like the lip as you guys were sayin...

Thumbs down

Your wheels are sticking out by about an inch.. sorta like those mexican cars. you should have gotten the correct offset when you bought the rims. That's why they're rubbing.

Exactly - you can see it from here! Man didn't you learn anything from all the offset talk around here? Tsk, tsk. You need to get a higher offset like +45 or higher.
I'm disappointed in you Shyne.

....and forget rolling your rear fenders - those wheels stick out way too far to fix with a fender roll. You'll have to cut your fenders out to make those fit.

Sorry that happened to you! I would complain to the company and salesperson since they said they would fit your TL. Tell them it rubs and it's damaging your car! If they are a reputable business then the will honor you.
You could try selling them if that doesn't work. You shoulda checked with SNooK - he has hundreds of auto parts connections and can probably get the wheels you want.
BTW - don't even think about lowering springs with those wheels. Hope it works out for you.

Shyne, you have the same size tires as my car and it looks as though your wheels stick out more than mine. My wheels have a 48mm offset and my car is lowered with H&R OEM sport springs. I had to cut into the bumper lip and roll the fenders a little. Don't plan on lowering if you want to keep the same wheel/tire combo.

Man, I looked at them today, and they are a +39 offset... The dude was pretty cool about it, he said it was Enkei's fault and replacements shouldnt be a problem... SO should I get a +45 or a +48 offset... I hope that fixes the problem... It looks soooo good though... I dont know if I want to change, I know I have too though, its buggin the hell out of me !!!

Remember I said I got 48 offset with same size tires? And I still had to roll and cut!
