rolled fenders

rolled fenders

has anyone rolled their fenders themselve.......is it easy or do i need that specific tool?
the shop near my house is charging me $75 a fender

$75 is pretty cheap. I sorta rolled my fenders, I did it half way because it got cold out and I never finished it. I used a heat gun to heat the fender so the paint won't crack and the fender is easier to roll. Then I just used a hard rubber mallet and hammered away, slowly moving along the fender.

I had mine shaved for 50.00 a fender.you can't tell

haha when you roll the piece that sticks out over the tire. You bend that piece so it's flush with the fender so your tire won't rub.

Be careful of having you fenders shaved as opposed to rolling. The inner fender lip is actually two layers of metal and if you cut it out you open the seams to moisture. Then comes rust...and we dont want that. Rolling them if you need to is the way to go. I just dont understand why all you guys are having so many clearance issues. I have a 19 inch by 8.5 rim that tucks right under the fender without any problems whatsoever. You guys must be putting huge rims on.
