Rock Chip/Divot help

Guys I just got pegged by a nice size rock, damn semi's. Anyway I now have a small crack/divot on the driver's side. Has anyone used that DIY windshield repair kit? I need to take care of this before it gets any colder, want to avoid the crack spreading. Any advice out there on how to fix this the right way. Thanks all and by the way Happy New Year.

Thanks for the quick reply. Insurance deductible is not low enough. So have to be out of pocket.

I would just go to a chip repair place. They charge around $25-30 and, if done right, no one will ever know you had a chip there. Of course, YOU will always know where the chip is...

This may be preferable to a DIY kit with unknown results. My
