Road trip this past weekend

I took the TL-S on a road trip to DC this weekend to go sightseeing. Had 5 people (including my 9 year old) in the car with light luggage. By the time it was all over we logged another 600+ miles on the car.

It was a great trip. The car handled beautifully on the highway and we got 30 mpg with auto A/C on while averaging about 70-75 for the whole trip. Even with 5 people in there I could still accelerate and pass easily.

The only downside was that the folks in the back were a little crowded with the person in the middle.

A Nav would have been nice on the one day I actually drove into the city. Even with a map it was a mess. The Nav could not have helped with the roads though. The roads around the Mall are aweful.

By the way, my in-laws loved the car and that is important - LOL.

Cool

what a coincidence. I took the typeS on its first road trip this weekend too.

NYC to Poconos, PA to Hershey Park, PA, back to Poconos and back to NYC.

4 adults w/ 4 bags, plenty of room for everyone.
I drove about 520 miles and got almost 30mpg.

It was an absolute pleasure to drive on empty highways, I must have averaged about 80mph, and hit 95mph a couple of times for a short period of time.

I love this car
