Road Trip

Last week I drove my 00' TL-P from Philly all the way down to South Kakalack (S. Carolina) and I must say it was the most pleasurable drive I have ever taken. This was the first really long trip I have taken in this vehicle. I mean I have been to D.C. and Va. a few times since I got it in October of 01' but no where near 700 miles. The ride comfort was great and the engine always willing. I enjoyed it so much that after being down in Myrtlye Beach for a few days, I decided to drive it down to the "dirty-dirty"(Atlanta) which was another 400 miles to and from. Two thousand miles later and I still am impressed. As soon as I got back I came on the site and was unfortunately greeted by more tranny probs though. I really hope that acura gets a hold of this and does whats right, because I will be greatly disappointed if my tranny goes ANY TIME soon especially as much as I enjoyed driving it on this trip.

P.S.: Sorry for the long post.

yup, the TL is agreat car for a road trip, I've taken about 5 in the past year, and even with 4 people in the car it makes for a great ride. Comfort, sunroof, 6 cd changer, great A/C, roomy, big trunk, and the car just hauls a$$ on the highway. Cruisin at 90 at a leasurely pace for long distances is what the TL is best at I think.

In May, I took a trip from South Carolina to Fresno, California and the TL was flawless all the way! The trip was approximately 2600 miles and the navigation took me right to the doorstep of my friends house. I mostly use this car for longer distances and haven't had any problems with the transmission and for a 2000 with close to 80K (KNOCK ON WOOD), I am amazed! Well I got back home about 3 weeks ago and feel very pleased with this vehicle. Hopefully, Acura will do something about this transmission problem though
