Scratch Repair

Hi,

I'm curious if anyone has any advice on repairing scratches. Specifically:

(1) light surface scratches
(2) small deep chip on the hood that needs touch-up

The vehicle is a 99 3.2 TL Laguna Metallic Green.

Help!

Thanks!

Jung

If you want to try an inexpensive way of getting rid of annoying swirl marks / small scratches, go to Pep Boys and pick up a product called 'Scratch X' from Meguiar's. I've used it on my car and it hides a lot of superficial marks. My girlfriend has an '01 black Accord coupe and it helped out significantly. Again, it's not a cure but helps out (ie from far away, you can't see the scratch but from close up, it's there but much less than before)

Another possible solution is to use the Zaino line of car polish products. I use this religiously -- there is a swirl mark remover (Z5) along with a polish lok (Z1) and a polish for clearcoats (Z2).

Hope this helps.
