RL Seats in a TL?

Hi all-
I have a 2000 TL I bought used and the previous owner NEVER treated the leather. It's cracked, and in poor shape. I have a place to get seats for a 2004 RL. Does anyone know if they would fit? Is there a major difference in the seats? Good idea or bad? Anyone?

Thanks!!

If they fit and match I don't see how this could be a bad thing. I mean people buy aftermarket seats all the time. I saw this porsche with leather recaros, the kind thats fully adjustable, bolsters, leg support, side support, etc. and had heat and air conditioning in them. Very cool

comparing a 2002 TL-S and a 2004 RL, it does not look like it will fit, I don't know about 2000. Your best bet is to just call the service department and ask them. I personally don't think it will. The RL is slightly wider and because of the plastic around the seat, I can't see the rails.

It would be nice if you could do it, seems like the RL seats would be a little more comfy than the TL's.

maybe take out your TL seats and make a cardboard template to take the dealer. then "really examine" the RL - seats and all.

Granted the width of the seat is close in comparison, you can make any seat fit. The key is taking the tracks off your original seat and have them mounted on the new..VOILA!
