Post rims(offsets)

I'm thinking about gettin rims, and i was wondering, if i get 18's with +40 offsets, and 225/40/18, the would it rub w/ comtech springs? If it will, then how much is it to shave those rims?
Please help me out, thanks.

I think you'll need a higher offset.. around 50

I'm not sure how much it is to shave rims. What are the +/- of shaving rims?

Yeah, with a +40 and a drop, you'll rub for sure. Esp. in the back.

I heard that for the average wheel, the most you can shave is 5mm.

I have +42 offset and mine doesn't rub after I shaved off the little bumper piece in the rear tire well. Even with 5 full adults and a full tank of gas, it still doesn't rub.

I think 4-5 months ago somebody paid $125 per wheel. It'll cost about $10-12 per wheel to mount the tire and balance.
