Post Rim Options (gold rivets, etc)

Remember how I said the Alstadt IVs were fatty except they don't come in 19s? I was wrong! Thanks to Tim I should be ordering them in 19s tomorrow morning!

So here are the options on them:

USA Chrome, Japan Chrome
Fo sho I'm getting chrome. I hear USA Chrome is better? Whats the difference?

Gold Rivets
I doubt these would look good on a silver car. Anyone disagree? Have any pics of somethign similiar?

Drilled
Does anyone know what this means?

Hub Centric Ring
I guess this is something that behind the wheel and eliminates shaking - probably will just get these here.

Damn its going to be 4 weeks before I get them... can't wait!

Nate,
Japan Super Chrome is the best in the market (lifetime warranty) and it's the best looking chrome out there kinda has a black chrome look to it, just ask ValueTL!! DO NOT GET USA CHROME if you have a choice!

Gold rivets are nice (It's the Japan look) either way it'll look sweet!

Not sure what drilled means!

HubCentricRing all high end wheels comes with it, just a plastic piece that goes in between the rim and the front(Only) wheel!!

PS. I'm gonna chrome my wheels and if I had the time and $$, I would get it JLand Super Chrome but I'm gonna get it USA chrome!

Dam can't wait to see your wheels

Really? When Tim called for me he asked about it and I guess they told him USA Chrome was better... I mean, how shiny can something get?

Gold rivets are nice (It's the Japan look) either way it'll look sweet!
Yeah... I'm not a fan of gold on silver but it might look nice... Wish I could see chorme rims with gold rivets on a silver car.

Not sure what drilled means!
Me neither!

HubCentricRing all high end wheels comes with it, just a plastic piece that goes in between the rim and the front(Only) wheel!!
So the ones I could buy with the rims are the same as any old ring I could get here in the US right?

Thanks Tann!

Here it is... I cut it out of the background. Tried making it look like chrome but I failed miserably.

Only pic I can find (thanks to hcq_303 ) of chrome Astadt IVs is this:

Damnit, I can't wait 4 weeks!

I dont think you can choose which chrome you want. Companies like Lowenhart uses japan "crystal" chrome i think... American made wheels uses "american" chome. So depends on where the wheels came from.

Nice wheels by the way!! Can't wait till you put them on!!

TANNER... ARRGG! You had to come and post pics of both Lowenharts and Agle Minervas!!! Must... not... look...

So the LD1s and Minervas are JP Chrome while the one on the right is US Chrome? From the pic I dunno if I like it... seems duller... but it might look really good on a silver TL...

I think that the JP chrome would fit a luxurious silver TL better!

Damn maybe I should've gotten Japan Chrome... arg this is driving me crazy! I like bling bling... Tim said that whoever hes getting the rims from told him US was better... someone else said some JP chrome is good, some bad, but the same applies to US chrome...

Man, I didn't realize that there was so much involved in picking chrome. I thought it was much simpler, but now you have Japan and American Chrome...go figure.

good luck man.

I know Tanner.. US was more expensive.. and they recommended it.. I wish I could see the difference in person. Ah well, I shouldn't stress it too much I guess.

C5s dipped will be fat as hell!

I think USA chrome is flashier as in it brigher when it reflects sunlight.. it reflects more of the light..has more of that chrome look you usually see

Japanese chrome which i have are nice its simple, have to be aware when using rims cleaner.. i use dish washer soap to clean them hehehe..

I don't understand why US chrome is $25 more per rim than Japan chrome. I hear JP is sprayed and US is dipped?

SSR. Yes they do. 82000 yen for 19x8 +49. 70000 yen for 18x8 +49. But you can only get them in Japan and shipping fees are crazy... to where really I would rather get 19" Lowenhart BSDs. I do have much love for the Minervas though!

EuroSport in Hawaii is a dealer of JLand SSR wheels.
Notice the Greddy SkyLine in the back ground?
