Question is this the right order?

1.wash
2.clay
3.wash again or just rinse off clay residue
4.polish
5.wax

not sure about steps 1, 2, 3. after washing should i dry before claying? i've read some people leave the car wet and use the car wash solution as extra lubricant along with a QD for the clay bar? is it advisable or would it just be too lubricated for it to pick up anything? thanks.

Well here are my steps:

1) Wash
2) Clay
3) Use Final Inspection to remove Clay residue
4) Use swirl and/or scratch remover
5) Apply wax

Let me recommend this one website for further reading on car care. It's a wonderful website that has many helpful people!

Thumbs up

And here are my Zaino-enthusiast steps:

1. Wash car with Dawn liquid soap to remove old wax/polish.
2. Clay the car using Z-7 car wash as a lube.
3. Re-wash the car using Z-7 car wash. Dry.
4. Apply Z-1 Polish lock (if not using the ZF-x accellerator)
5. Apply either Z-2 or Z-5 on top of the Z-1 -- and let dry.
6. Remove residue with a clean cotton towel, turning frequently.
7. Wipe down with Z-6 and admire your shiny, shiny vehicle!

Later,

V.
