You DONT need the whole kit, all you need are the bulbs. 6k is the highest that i would go, and would actually try to find something closer to 4300k

I agree with Kris- stock was 4300 kelvin (color scale)
my car has 6000k and Im not that happy, yes they do light up lane lines and road signs from a distance, which is great for these old eyes~
but I lost white light on the ground in front of the car,,need driving lights added to make up for that
Not a prob in lighted areas, but pitch dark backroads are an issue
5000k seem to be a good compromise- with more blue than 4300 so they illuminate those lane and signs markings better than stock, but plenty of light to actually see by
that my opinion
You can get kaixen bulbs from our sponsor excelerate or online ~$100 per pair
those are popular and seem to be working fine for most customers--a few reported failures at a year or so, but that could be getting finger oil on the bulbs at install, causes early wearout,,
normally good for 3000 hours of use--thats several years of driving
phillips is another good brand if you want to stay with 4300-look online for them cheap.
only buy NEW
hid kits are for when you get water inside the headlight housing- it drips down on the ballast and it dies- cheap way to replace entire system is a kit
