ride height safety

hi, i contacted acura by email and am waiting for a reply..does anybody know anything about adding height to clear deep snow?i found these extensions that go on top of the struts,i'm wondering if they're safe.i saw some 5" lifts.i wish they made a steel or heavy aluminum nose instead of these flimsy plastic one's-it's an idea..imagine being able to clear deep snow with the extra height and be able to ride with snow chains on and if it got a bit too deep that bumper would push right through the snow and continue on.there would probably be a need to get the front and back aligned to accommodate the excessive height.i don't want to have to get into modify and changing parts.

Luckily my area doesnt get snow beyond a light dusting. On the off chance of heavy snow, I imagine driving an awd suv.
