Reviews on ahparts.com?

The alternator on my poor TL went out in the spring and I've not been able to find one at a decent price anywhere until now, I really don't want to get rid of the car because it's so great. I was wondering if anyone has bought from this website and if they are trustworthy? Please help!

I don't have experience with that site but as with any auto recycler, obviously there's risk in that you don't know the condition of the part you're getting.

At ~$40 an alternator seems reasonable but I'd test it thoroughly before going through the trouble of installing it.

If you're handy with a wrench it IS possible to disassemble your current alternator and overhaul it with new internals. If you'd like instructions then let us know and we'll post them.

I have found them for about $80 online. Are you seriously considering getting rid of a car for an $80 part? That's like 2 fill ups.
