TL projectors are bi-xenon and the other TSX and S2K are just standard projectors. I am not completely familiar with the 2nd gen headlights but if you have a bulb for brights and a bulb for low beams than the TSX or S2K lights will be fine. If you dont have separate high and low beams, and still want brights, the TL bi-xenons are the best on the market. Infiniti FX projects are really good too if you change the lenses. If you do that they can get close to the quality of the S2K projects, the best standard projector on the market.

Why not just get the xenons that fit the 2nd gen TL and make life simple?

Cause we already have HID's. Some of us want Projectors.

Stick with the S2K or TSX Projectors

Stick with TSX's or get S2k's if you can find them and have enough dough in ur pockets. IMO it's not even worth it doing all that work to not see some crazy difference. Do some research before you jump into the retro fit pool. I got a pair of TSX headlights with good projectors, but not sure what I wanna do with them.

TL projectors are bixenon, high and low beam. TSX and S2K's are only single xenon. We don't have to put bixenons in since we alread have sepeate high beams. Although you could, and just make your stock high beams for DRL's, that's possible too. And stop calling S2k's standard...hehe. they are anything but standard.

and i don't think the size matters, but output does.. and you can get some tsx's with better output imo, but you get what you pay for buddy!

^^ nice, that's a good price for them. Very good actually. If you think TSX's are nice, wait till you upgrade to S2K's. Thoose are hella wide and sharper, more intense.

I wasn't sure about the hi/low beams being separate, that is why I made the comment about TL bi-xenons. I think that is pretty obvious from the post. Now I know.

Sorry about the "standard" comment about S2Kand TSX projectors, I am not exactly down with the projector/lights lingo. I have however read extensivly on this issue so I think I do have a leg to stand on.

The TL's bi-xenons are the best on the market. Infiniti FX projects are really good too if you change the lenses. If you do that they can get CLOSE to the quality of the S2K projects, the best "single xenon" on the market. That is not a knock on the TSX projectors just saying that the S2K are the best. I don't know anything about the output differences between the projectos I have mentioned.

Like I said I haven't done this as I have a 3rd gen TL with bi-xenons standard on the car so all I know is what I have read and heard from friends who are knowledgable and have done this. Do what you want, I was just putting in my .

Hey, if it's free, take em. If you didnt plan on spending a lot of money, then go ahead and put them in. I'm not sure how big they are, but JNC here was doing something like a retro fit for the fogs.

well, i dunno if he did it or not, but the area we have doesn't look big enough for the 350's though. I think he was using a blazer fog light or something..
