resonance question

I plan on removing my intake and exhaust resonators real soon but i want to get the opinions of you guys who have already done this mod as to how much of a differece will there be in the cabin resonance. So if the stock resonance is 0/10 then what do you guys think it is after the mod is complete? Thanks in advance.

I wouldnt take the exhaust resonators off...people have tried it and hated it because of the resonance. I would take the intake resonator of becuase it only gives great sounds when you hit VTEC, and there is no added annoying sounds at all.

I recently did that.. you'll hate it... plus your air filter will get dirty a whole lot faster.

The sound is unbarable...kinda sounds like a low horn or something
BIG thumbs down

0/10 after removing it.

When people say you only hear a difference in VTEC, they're not kidding. The pedal must be completely to the floor for WOT. Then it sounds sweet.

if you have teh factory exhaust on and plan on keeping it that way id do it if your looking for a little more sound. on your 1-10 scale the resonance is prob a 2 (in comparison no resonators and comptech exhause is about a 7, and straight pipes is a 10, i know cause i do all 3 quite frequently)

as for teh intake resonator, GET RIDOF IT! you have no resonance from it unles your getting on it, and as for the filter. get a K&N, i wash mine 2 times a year (about every 20k or so)

i've heard a TL with exhaust resonator removed, it sounds g00d in the car, its sounds like you have a few big holes in the muffler from the outside....i dont recommended, maybe only if u remove the smaller one.

plus when idling, the shit is loud.

that is what most people end up regretting - removing the intake resonator is much more common and liked

the only down side to removing the exhaust resonators is if you plan on putting a aftermarket exhaust on down the road it will be Loud. if you never plan on it its not a bad mod, but you dont gain any thing other than a lower pitch to the exhaust. the intake resonator removal is free and is liked by almost all
