Question Resetting the Maintenance Required lights

Hello all, this is my first post to the group.... I am too a poor college student driving a previous generation TL because that was all I can afford, and I wanted a car with some personality. I settled on a 1996 2.5 tl premium, champange / silver depending on the light. The car is very clean and overall a very nice car.
My question is, since the dealers around here charge an arm an a leg for such basic tasks as an oil change and tire rotation (104.95).
I have been doing these tasks myself. Now, my question is how to reset that maintenace required indicator underneath the odometer. It just is annoying to look at that being yellow all the time because I don't pay the dealer's exorbitant rates for basic maintenance tasks.

Best wishes to all, and take care.

I don't know the answer to your question because I have a 99 TL. If it is the same then this is how you do it:

You hold down the "select" and "reset" button on the dashboard and then turn on the engine. Hold the two buttons down for a few seconds until it goes away.

Hope this helps.
