It does make a difference when you haven't done them after you installed your mods.
When i first installed my header and drove home one the freeway, i'm like WTF?? did i just wait $500... then read post and rest my ecu, and that's when the power kicked in. Same thing with headers on my friends accord v6
Are you sure u reset correctly? Disconnect battery and remove ecu fuse?

I agree, resetting the ECU is a waste of time as it adjusts on it on after a little driving.
