RES Update?

I hate to do it to you all. I know it is the number one topic in this forum. But I am getting really anxious about this thing.DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING NEW ABOUT THE RES? WTF, when is this thing coming out, I have $300 in hand as we speak. (believe me it is making it hard to type)

For real. Tell us what you know before this $300 is spent toward some unworthy cause.

I too had my hopes up for the RES modification but am beginning to have doubts if this mod will ever happen. Think I am going to put my $300 toward the purchase of a body kit.

Remember they said it should be out around SEMA. I thought they meant 2001 SEMA but they must have meant 2002 SEMA. I am hoping for it to be ready for the 2004 model year...or 2005...or 2006.

2007 or 2008 could be a possibility as well, heh. I just hope it comes out soon. Since the RES is being pushed back.. I guess we won't see the MM2 till 2009 or 2010. That's a scary long time away, ugh!!..

I am just as anxious as you guys are but I think you shouldn't talk $hi+ about the mod. They were nice enough to let us know what it was and then didn't release it because they were not getting the same gains as the pre production model.

Stop complaining and give them a break. It would really suck if they rushed it and put it out just to keep some people happy and the thing didn't work to its fullest potential.

I will wait patiently and keep my 3 bills for Tim until this comes out.

I've said it before (on the CL board), and I'll say it again (see below). While some of it may apply, the topic's were similar enough to do a simple cut and paste....

"We are not owed nor do we deserve anything from Rick Case Acura. Syncivic was nice enough to give us a heads up on a product (products) that are being developed and researched for our cars. That was all he did. I don't see any broken promises or any lies from him, so we have nothing to complain about. Did AEM come on here to give us monthly updates about any of their products for the CL-S/TL-S? Does Comptech, Neuspeed or Eibach come here and give us all the updates about their new products for our cars?? I don't think so. The fact that Doug comes on here to give us any information about an unreleased product at all should make us all feel privledged. In no way is he required to tell us anything, yet he comes on here from time to time to give us updates, so we know where he stands. I would be willing to guarantee everyone on here that when Syncivic has a new update, this (and ACL.com) will be the first place that he posts the information. Everyone just relax and enjoy the fact that you even know anything about this product. We know more then we need to already, and when more info becomes available, I'm sure you'll see it on here."

juniorbean,

Have you ever heard aboud customer relationship? What about customer loyality and satisfaction?

If keeping customers happy is not a concern, then forget about having a viable business....

I rest my case.

It has nothing to do with customer relationship. Have you seen Comptech on this board in the last 18 months giving us step by step updates on new Comptech products we hear rumors about?? When's the last update you've seen on the board from Comptech about the Icebox for the CL-S/TL-S?? That's what I thought. Yet everyone on this site goes out and overpays for all of their products w/o even thinking twice..... yet Comptech's business seems pretty viable to me. Then when a visable person on the board gives us a heads up on a new product that's being worked on we want his head on a platter if he doesn't provide us with hourly updates with pictures and captions.... please..... He gave us an update right around the holidays saying that there were fit and finish issues and once they work those out we'll be the first to know. Before that we've seen dynos and even pictures. I haven't seen an Icebox dyno for the CL-S/TL-S posted on here from Comptech, preliminary or not. We should all be happy Rick Case lets us in on their little secrets so early in the R&D process. Not only that, but they're incredibly smart because they have hundreds (possibly thousands when you combine the boards) of people drooling, waiting for this item. Once the final product is released it will be selling like mad. That too, seems like they're creating a viable business.....

It was getting close to time for an update...even if thats hey still having problems with the production units it'll be at least 60 days out. Now I won't expect to hear anything until sometime in April.

Agreed they don't owe us anything, it more of an inquiry, one post can answer the question for a lot of people.

I will quietly and HAPPILY hold on to my money, I will gladly waited for the perfected end product than a rushed 1/2 a$$ one today.

I suspect most of the people complaining aren't even serious buyers. They just want to see what others say about it when they get it on their cars. If you really want one you would wait and not complain. Don't give us that BS that your gonna buy a spoiler kit or something else that has nothing to do with this mod. That just supports the fact that you really have no intention of getting one.

I've learned one thing from all my time on this board you can't please everyone. To Tim and other merchants/manufacturers, I give you a lot of credit because I'm sure you deal with so many unappreciative people who are just curious and front as if they are potential buyers just to satisfy their curiosity.

A lot of people are talking about getting the SC I'd love to see if the actual sales numbers even come close to the hypothetical forum demand.

Talking I am reaching a Vehicular Orgasm- LOL!!

I am so excited that we are about 60 days out from the RES being available for sale as well as the Mystery Mod 2 coming out soon as well. The idea of putting an additional 20-30 HP into the car with additional torque will give this car the edge it will need against the new Maximas, Pontiac GTP's, etc. I am willing to wait to ensure the pieces are OEM quality like Comptech pieces. I also am happy to see that they are testing the parts in a variety of circumstances and that they will fit without any hassle. I applaud SynCivic and Rick Case for their efforts with our cars. I would think with these two parts, the header, and an intake our cars will average in the low 14's. AND thats where I want to be! My goal for this car is to get it to run with a stock LT1 powered Z28 in the quarter mile without forced induction or NOS. Then maybe down the road as the car is paid off and an aftermarket company steps up to the plate with a bullet proof plan of action for the transmission then I might consider a supercharger package. I have said enough but I do have a comment for those that are concerned with customer satisfaction and service and having to wait all this time for the parts to come out. I say that you can always go to McDonalds and get your dollar value menu item and get some quick, friendly and fresh junk food to satisfy your urges for immediate satisfaction and customer service. But, when it comes to putting something on my 30+ thousand dollar car I want it to work the way it is supposed to, fit flawlessly, and be durable/reliable. So I, for one, am willing to wait. If you are not then go somewhere else to buy your parts and just do not give Rick Case your money. I know he is going to be getting some of my hard earned salary for sure though.

Just my 2 cents:p

Who is complaining about waiting?, the complain was about the lack of status update.

Any chance we can get a tl-s dyno chart, a pic of the mod installed on the engine, or a pic of the bottom?

Beiruty - How can you "rest your case" when there isn't a product yet that you have spent money on? After that there will be customer satisfaction, loyalty and some sort of relationship if you are happy with the product. If not, complain then.

No need to bold it... I saw it .... it just seemed that others didn't so I figured I'd add a link. Isn't it funny how people will read everything in the link, but skip over the same info in the topic!! Plus, I figured the link had an actual conversation with Rick Case Acura so that would make the ~60 day thing more official!!

I had the same conversation about a month ago.
