Reputable shop for timing belt change in NoVA?
All,
Well, I'm past 84 months on my '02 TL-S, so even though I'm only at 85k miles, I'm looking into the timing belt change.
Local dealer in Northern VA (Pohanka) wants roughly $1100 for the job, which includes new water pump, and I think accessory belts. This seems high, but perhaps that's the going rate.
When I was in Orlando, Z-Tech in Longwood had a decent rep for Honda/Acura/Nissan work at prices far better than the dealers. They did the belt on my '95 Accord EX for $550, whereas the dealer wanted $850 at that time. Car is still running, and that was in 2000.
Does anyone know of any such reputable shop in NoVA that might give a similar break, but still does quality work?
And, yes, I know I could do it myself and save a lot. My free time is a bit limited these days, so I'd rather not spend it with my hands jammed into that tiny space they left to get to it.
