I have my 60k maintanence, inspection,etc. coming up and I don't want to end up paying out the a$$ for a dealership to do it. Plus, I want to wait while the work is being done, regardless of how long it takes, because I don't trust people.

Any suggestions? I wouldn't mind travelling 10-20 miles away if the shop is worth the trip

hey man! I'm right around your area! I grew up in 19406! As for shops, i go to the Valley Forge Freedom Mart on route 23 going towards phoenixville (at the end of route 23 thru valley forge park). There's an egyptian guy there that goes by the name of k-man, and he's the most reliable and trustworthy guy I have found in our area to date. The phone number there is 610-783-7261. Tell him Will the Asian guy recommended you. If you pay in cash, he really hooks it up from time to time! Best of luck!

 

also, he's let me hang out in the shop and watch him work, so he prolly won't mind you doing that. He's walked me through a whole bunch of maintenence jobs while it was being done. It sounded like from your first post that that was one of your concerns..

 

Thanks alot, Will. Yes, that's def a concern. I have some work done to the car and I don't feel comfortable just leaving it with someone, dealership or not. I will call his week.

Yeah, just be sure to ask him it's ok if you hang out. It's usually not a problem unless the owner is there, in which case he usually tells you to wait outside or something. Best of luck frank! btw: I'd love to check out your 99 one of these days!

 

Yea man, no problem. We are trying to reschedule the meet in Valley Forge. I had some family stuff to deal with this past weekend and it looked like the turnout wouldn't have been that great even if I did go.

Look under Acurazine Meets for the thread about the Valley Forge meet. We are trying to reschedule it for April 14..
