replacing the ugly steering wheel soon.
I know Im one of many 2G TL owners that are fed up with the top of their leather steering wheel being very faded and in my case, torn. So in light of my little irritating situation, I ordered a wood grain steering wheel along with a Honda air bag system the off a 99 Honda Inspire to boost my JDM conversion points. The only thing is the steering wheel and air bag is black and I have tan interior. BUT..... I am ordering a black outter and lower steering column cover so I think that the steering wheel will match the interior being that the dash trim is black. Ill keep you guys updated. might be a couple days or so being that the part is coming from Asia.

you wont be disappointed...i love my wood steering wheel. HOWEVER, once you go wood, you will never want to go back to leather, regardless of what car you buy in the future. That is the curse...from now on, i will always put in a wood steering wheel in my future cars.

When I got the MDX steering wheel it didn't have the center piece so I used the one off of my old steering wheel. The only thing I noticed was the color between the airbag and steering wheel was a little off. I think its because the steering wheel is new and the airbag 9yrs old.

My steering wheel came in today!
15 minutes and 30 layers of bubble wrap later,
Hopefully I will be able to install it next time i go in to work. The black steering column cover is on its way but it might take a while since the seller shipped it parcel post.

nice wheel. I never like shine smooth steering wheels though... remind me too much of those on NYC yellow cabs driven for years on end...
I replaced my perforated tl-s wheel with an MDX wooden one with the same texture and interior color. a perfect match to the interior. you definitely cannot go wrong with factory parts.

You won't have to do anything, the opening for the cruise contol switches is at the same place.

haha, thats a good question. It was on there when i bought the car. I've yet to find out what its for because it does absolutly nothing when i mess with it. Im guessing it might have something to do with lights that were previously on or something because it says spot and fog. One of these days Ill run the wire to find the source.

maybe in the future. I would have to cut and sand the plastic to make a hole for the CC buttons to fit. Then again. I never use my cruise control. I guess living in hawaii has something to do with it. The trips are too short and traffic never stays the same speed over here.
