Replacing the type s shifter

Hi,
I've got an 03 TL Type S. Recently my leather type S shifter got scraped up and is peeling. I wanted to know if the 2002 Type S shifter they sell here will fit my 03?

Also how do I replace it... i mean do i just screw the old one off and then the new one back on? i'm scared I might mess up the something down there in the tranny (which I already replaced cuz it broke down).

Thanks

A good firm twist counter-clockwise should do the trick. Mine came off quite easily...

you're probably the only one.. gotta take a reall firm counter-clockwise turn to get it off. once you do, then its easy.
