ive got a 99TL and ive decided to replace my highbeams with imitations HID blue 9005 lights. It looks like i can get to the passenger side bulb pretty easily, but the driver side is somewhat obstructed. will i have to take off the whole front bumper to replace it or are there any tricks? Also do i just loosen those screws or take em out, i couldnt get to the passenger side screws with a screwdriver, how did you guys handle this?

I bought a side racheting screwdriver, You squeeze the handle and it turns the screwdriver. This was the only way I saw to take that one pain in the ass screw out.

 

Take the screws out, cuz you can't leave them in when you take the highbeam bulbs out. Also more chances of you dropping the screws and having to look all over.

 

There are no screws to remove it u wanna swap ur high beams bulbs?!?! at least i dont remind any..


just reach in with ur hands and turn the socket and get it out.

and for the driver's side bulb, remove the radiotor overflow bottle by pulling up it will come out and then u can remove the bulb (you can look in ur owner manual, it's in there)

umm my 99TL had 3 screws to remove before you can take the highbeam bulbs out.
