Replacing front crankshaft seal (#24) and two camshaft seals (#16)
I'll be doing my timing belt change, so it would be a good idea to replace the crank seal and 2 cam seals. I don't want to worry about future leaks from there.
The diagrams in the service manual look straight-forward....remove crank pulley and remove seal #24.....remove camshaft sprockets and remove seals #16.
Is it that easy? Do I need any special tools? I already have the tools to remove the stubborn crank bolt. Do I need a puller to remove camshaft sprockets?
Any other tips to remove/install these seals? I understand I need to grease them before installation.
Anything else I need to worry about?
I don't want to run into any unexpected surprises. Thanks.

You don't need a puller for the cam sprockets; you might have to tap them lightly as you gently pry with a large screwdriver or pry bar. The crank sprocket is sometimes a little stubborn; easy with a puller, not so easy without. You can pop out all the seals with a seal puller they look like a cross between an awl and a corkscrew. Be REALLY careful the surfaces that the seals contact. Specific installers are available, but large sockets sometimes work well. Pay attention to the installed depth. It's common for the seals to be slightly below flush. [like even with the bottom of a chamfer] For what it's worth, they're usually good to about 300,000 miles or so. They don't fail nearly as often as the rear crank seal.
