not going to happen, you buy the Comptech Icebox and are stuck with the Comptech foam filter.

Replaced my foam filter in the icebox with the K&N as well. I would say there might be a slight increase in sound but not much.

There is alot of people on the CL forum that had the icebox with the foam cone and changed it to a K&N Filter. I did it over the weekend. There might be a tad more noise. I am very sensative to my car like any little thing I pick up so I was able to pick up a little more noise but not much. Performance. No dyno or aything. Purely based on feeling, I say a little more smoother with the K&N filter. Could be psychological but my girl drove my car and I didnt tell her about the filter and she said my car was running smoother then I told her. Hope that helps. The part number is 2950.

Ad for the fitment. Many people over on the other gorum took off the ring around it. I think its ok becasue the way the filter is positioned. IT is jsut laying there but I put on the ring anyways jsut for security purposes. first I had trouble puttin on the filter becasue the ring restrict the rubber cone to stretch and it does need to stretch a bit to fit. But i just open the clamp as wide as possilbe then slide it towardsthe piping. After I got the filter in then slide the clamp pver the filter then tighten. I suggest taking the elbow off the icebox. Makes thigs easier. after you get the filter back on the slide the elbow back in
