Rental TLs?

Rental TLs?
Just came back from a trip to the Seattle area. Hertz rented me another Maxima. Ughh! Does any rental car agency carry Acuras? Driving to Mt. St. Helens and Mt Rainier made me wish I had my Type S as they are fun roads to drive if you don't ooh and aah too much at the scenery. All things being equal I would rather rent an Acura than be stuck with another beater.

I sure hope they don't start renting out Acura's...I don't want my car to be associated with Rental car
But, again, it is nice to see a good car as a rental. When I rent cars for work, I try to get a Nissan Altima (better than Dodge Stratus, or any other Dodge or GM car).

Ford owns Hertz, u can get just about any car they sell including Jags.
I think Budget rents Jags too.
What's wrong with the Maxima it is a stellar car and one of the better rentals.

Hertz now has it's Prestige Collection that you can rent (I'm sure at a premium price). I believe it consists of the Lincolne LS, Jaguar S Type, Land Rover and another model.
I would like to rent the Lincoln LS, that would be a sweet car to rent out of all the other run of the mill rental models.

Honda does make their cars available for rental. I use to work washing rental cars/may be working again at an AVIS rent-a-car and the Hertz rental place next to us rents out accords. Havn't seen any Acuras yet. I know Avis's and Hertz's in Hollywood has Ferraris, lambos, mercedes, and probably any other luxury cars including Acuras that you can rent. I would wash those cars for free!!

I've rented Camrys and Solaras from Hertz... Maximas and Altimas from Avis...
Maxima SEs are sometimes available as rentals, I've never gotten one of those, but that would certainly be interesting...

CL in Maui
Budget had a fleet of Acura CL's in Maui when I was there last month. I definitely would have preferred that over the POS Mustang Convertible that we rented...

Actually, as a Maxima owner, I'd be thrilled with a Maxima rental - too bad it's only happened once in the past 10 years, and it was an Auto GXE.
Typically, I get stuck with something like a '99 Lumina with 35K miles, just turned in by someone who chain smokes like Morton Downey, jr.....
I've had numerous Honda Accords as rentals - it depends on if the local branch of the rental company is franchised or corporate owned. The local guys can purchase pretty much what they like.
I'm always praying for an Altima or Camry over the Grand Am or worse, the Lumina.....National Emerald Aisle was great because they let you pick your car on the lot - too bad my current employer uses Avis instead.

I work for Alamo Rent A Car, which I thank everyone for not mentioning. (1 more week left before I leave.)
Some of our better cars that we rent out are Toyotas, Nissans, Cadillacs, and most of the SUVs.
I've never seen any company rent out a Honda/Acura before.

InterAmerican Car Rental used to have en entire fleet of Nissan/Infiniti products: Sentras, Altimas, Maximas and Q45s. I've rented an Altima from them before, but when I went back to get a Q45 to take my friend to his wedding in, I was informed that they usually keep their Nissans at the Miami branches now (for whatever reason)... I ended up with an '01 DeVille. (Would have rather had an Altima..)
